Colonel Joseph T. Marcinek

Colonel Joe Marcinek is the Commander, 655th ISR Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. As the Commander, he is responsible organizing and training a team of 1200+ Air Force Reserve personnel to deliver intelligence directly to Air Force, Joint, and National-Level Intelligence Operations.

About

Col Marcinek was commissioned in 1995 following graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has served in various operational and staff assignments from squadron through the national levels. While on Active Duty, he served predominantly in the space intelligence field. Following his active duty service, he transitioned to the Air Force Reserve and has served in multiple
reserve statuses for more than 20 years, including numerous years in the field of intelligence support to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility and Special Operations. He has deployed multiple times in support of combat, counterinsurgency, theater support, and counternarcotics operations in the USCENTCOM, USEUCOM, and USSOUTHCOM areas of responsibility.

He previously served as a member on the Air Force Association’s Reserve Advisory Council which helps develop Air Force policy recommendations on quality-of-life and quality-of-service issues impacting Air Force Reserve members. Prior to returning to full-time Air Force service, Colonel Marcinek was an executive for a Fortune 500 communications company.
